Goodwill and SPG cooperate to explore the application of membrane emulsification equipment

Visiting SPG Company in Miyazaki, Japan after a gap of four years, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding the application of SPG membrane emulsification equipment. SPG provides equipment for preparing uniformly sized microspheres, widely used in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, materials, and other fields. As the authorized distributor for SPG products in China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, Goodwill has enjoyed a pleasant partnership with SPG for nearly 20 years.

The principle behind the SPG membrane emulsification equipment is as follows: under the pressure of nitrogen gas, the dispersed phase passes through the micropores on the membrane, forming liquid droplets on the membrane surface. With the continuous phase flowing along the membrane surface, the droplets reach a certain size and detach from the membrane surface, thereby forming an emulsion. By utilizing SPG membranes with uniform pore sizes, control over the size and distribution of emulsion droplets can be achieved effectively. Due to the even micropore diameter of the membrane, the resulting emulsion droplets are also uniform. By adjusting the composition of the aqueous phase and maintaining droplet stability, well-dispersed emulsions with excellent monodispersity can be produced. These emulsions can then undergo polymerization to yield corresponding polymer particles.

The SPG membrane emulsification equipment is primarily used for preparing uniformly sized emulsions, droplets, microspheres, and microcapsules. It enables the manufacturing of different types of emulsions, such as W/O (water-in-oil), O/W (oil-in-water), W/O/W (water-in-oil-in-water), and O/W/O (oil-in-water-in-oil) emulsions. The equipment ensures the uniformity of emulsion particle size, allows control over the functionality of microsphere surfaces, and maintains the stability of porous microspheres. Additionally, it facilitates the production of uniform emulsions and enables control over the pores in porous microspheres or sustained-release capsules.

The recent exchange allowed Goodwill to gain a deeper understanding of the working principles and application scope of SPG membrane emulsification equipment. Through shared experiences and technologies, both parties strengthened their partnership and discussed plans for promoting SPG membrane emulsification equipment in the Chinese market.Goodwill will continue to drive the development of SPG membrane emulsification equipment in China, providing customers with high-quality and innovative solutions.
