Laboratory Seed Treatment Unit

The operating process is such that the rotating mixing cone is loaded manually with the appropriate quantity of seed. While working with the standard model the liquids and powders are dosed manually. After finishing the process the treated seed must be discharged by opening a discharge flap by hand.

Operation:

The seed ( up to 6Ltr. per batch ) that is  loaded into the mixing cone is intensively mixed in a swirling action due to the rotation of the mixing cone which has an infinitely variable speed drive to suit various seed types. (The slowest speed should always be used consistent with adequate movement of the seed.) The volume of seed swirls up the wall of the mixing chamber and is then deflected down wards due to the 2 deflectors that are built into mixing cylinder. The seed treatment chemical may be applied by hand using a syringe, or by the metering pump though the Turbo-Fine-Spraying-System into the midst of the seed as it swirls within the chamber.

According to individual needs a drying powder may also be applied either manually, or by the powder feeder onto the already pre-wetted seed.

When application of products is completed the treated seed may be further mixed for a few seconds so that an optimal distribution of the product is obtained. The batch of treated seed may then be finally discharged by opening the hand operated discharge gate on the side of the mixing cone.

As the seed flows into the machine any dust is removed by an integrated aspiration system. The dust is collected in a filter bag and the filtered air is re-circulated under the rotating mixing cone such that seed nor dust cannot enter between the mixing cone and the seed discharge ring.

- Complete, operative unit, installed into a movable base frame with stainless steel working- and open placement area.

- Electrically connection: 3ph. 230/400V – 50Hz – ca. 2,0kW.

- To comply with ESH requirements the use of Personal protection equipment and the operation of a suitable air-extraction system is required.

- Pressurized air is not needed.

- Dimensions BxDxH 1200 x 700 x 1300mm, weight approx. 170kg

Equipment, optionally available:

Cone-Top-Lid with 6 Special- Bypass-Blades to provide a better distribution with lighter seeds. Capacity between approx. 1 - 3 Ltr. / Batch

3 Special- Bypass-Blades to extend the standard blades, to reduce the capacity down to approx. 0,3 Ltr. / Batch.

 Put-on-collar 15mm, adapted to the cone-top-lid m. a., to extend the capacity up to approx. 4,5 Ltr. / Batch.

Dosing-Pump, to dose liquid products half automated and volumetrically, variable adjustable, capacity 30 ml – 320 ml / min

Powder-Dosing-Unit, to dose powder products half automated and volumetrically, variable adjustable via slider adjustment, capacity approx. 100 – 600 ml / min

Multi function relays ( Timers ) are integrated to control the volumetrically dosage of pump and powder dosing unit. The adjustment of capacities must be made before treatment manually.

A calibration of settings, timers, dosing pump and powder dosing unit is necessary to ensure that the desire quantity of products is dosed to the seed.
